I'm alone!

I'm home alone this weekend, and so far I've only really been alone for like two hours, because I spent almost all day walking around Oslo and had ice cream with my friend!

So I wasn't given much opportunity to miss Helge, but bizarrely, I suddenly did! It is weird, because I suddenly missed him a lot more intensely, and I realized that it was because of the time of day. The exact time he comes home from work. Haha! That's really weird! Like my brain was suddenly expecting to see him!

:(

I will on Sunday though!

Here are some pictures from the summer!

Pizza! Before the cheese!

I washed the windows!

We made cupcakes! I forgot to take a picture with frosting on them. And they weren't that amazing, so for most part they have been chucked away in the fridge, so I threw them out this morning. What a waste :<

Mess

Made pizza with pineapple, and Helge had some beer

There's no more pizza!

I love these Buddah's, they're good company

Look at ma lamps! That nightlamp I got for Helge, if you push it on the head it glows green!

Scissors are important, and paint brushes and markers

That's a present up there, and some DVD's

My cupcake storage device, very sneaky. You think it is just a stale old cupcake, but it's not! It's full of treasure!

Books! Licorice, and that orchid that ought to be dead a long time ago, just saying.

Refreshments

Dusty. Could do with some cleaning! Clean clean! Any volunteers?
Spring is really nice, the smell in particular. Eaten a lot of strawberries. And had pancakes with banana Nutella and bacon. BNB Pancakes. Delicious. You ought to try it out.

I need to start doing stuff instead of watching Nigella and going "mmmh!"

Ga-BLAH!

We made this huuge salad today with apples and tomatoes and cucumber and salad and lish - with crisp chicken and some rice with sour cream. Yum! I also bought some ridiculously cheap imported mango juice that's really rich and delightful.

It's so cold outside and everyone hates it. It's so unfair because the last few days it's been bright and sunny which makes you want to go out and then the wind bites you in the nose and it hurts. Ow!

The weirdest thing about moving out is not having dogs anymore. I was prepared for missing them a lot, but not THIS much. You know. I miss them loads! :( It just seems strange and empty, so maybe I'll get an electronic robot-pig, you know the cheap ones and just stuff a battery in it and throw some cheese at it to see if it helps fill the void. It is the weirdest thing how much a dog means to a family. I couldn't quite imagine mine without one! (Or two).

In other neeews, any good ideas for what to dress up for on Halloween? I was thinking Old Gregg at first, then maybe someone else out of the Mighty Boosh, Tink wanted to be Mr. Susan, which is a great idea, really. The mirror wooorld!

This is the view from our bedroom window, with creepy clouds.
Autumn in Oslo, the leaves are so beautiful.
Doesn't look natural at all, really
And this is another romantic autumn picture I took.

Hai hai

I need to show you something, okay? It's a drawing that Tink's made a long time ago and it's genius. Really. You have to check it out in her blog http://fishinmyshoe.blogspot.com/2009/10/just-for-tora.html

It's extreme sweetness.

In other news, not much to show, not a lot of furniture either. Done schoolwork mostly, gone shopping in mysterious and dingy grocery-shops all around the neighbourhood of school and I've been walking to school every day. I'm still looking for the turkish delights of such scrumptious proportions as those in Narnia. Actually I did find the website of the (uncredited) producers of the Turkish Delight which Edmund eats in the film (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe). However it appears that attempting to get those to Norway from either New Zealand or the states seem pretty hopeless. But I did find some massive Turkish Delights filled with walnuts and covered with coconut that you can barely eat one of - and they were awesome. Really different from everything else we stuff in our face.
Houses down the road, such beautiful and bright colours, there are purple and baby blue and orange ones too!
That is the stalks of a turnip, or a nepe actually sticking out of an empty tea-cup. I couldn't find a good word for it in English. But it is a root-vegetable related to the turnip, it might be called rutabaga, who knows?
That is a tree near our summerhouse.
These are the woods surrounding the summerhouse. Early in the morning.

Na'da

It's a countdown for November going on in my mind, as per usual. Because then it will be NaNoWriMo again, and this year I am so full of ideas I have no clue how to battle them all into just 50,000 words. Whii!!!

School is starting on Monday, and that is super-exciting too. This post is about nothing in particular unfortunately, as I really don't have anything of interest to share with you.
Maybe some pictures?

From various places in Portugal, last November

Oversaturated

Just whacked up the saturation on these pictures I took and they became a lot more interesting I think. The quality is terrible though, they've gone all grainy because my camera is old and lumpy (and flippin fantastic), really, it's survived everything I put it through. Endless amounts of concerts, russetid, snow, rain, Ibiza, a dozen times to Rome and back - not to mention sustaining the smell of alco-pop on my sweaty brows when I try to take a good drunken picture.

Photomotion!

Here's some random pictures from the past year I hope I haven't already shown you. At least that was the point. I know this doesn't really make much sense, but this lecture is actually quite self-explanatory and I am so hilariously hungry I could eat a house. Nothing big like the moomin house, but maybe something smaller - like Buckingham Palace, or maybe something like a camera surveillance van disguised as a soup-delivery pod, or maybe an ice-cream camper.
This here must be the view downwards from my room when there was still snow outside!

Yeah, and this is our little nazi - Ulla. It means "Woolly", but in a feminine way.

This is Liv-Elin snowboarding. Her technique is magnificent.

This is in Møre somewhere, out driving when visiting Molde during Easter.

Ehm. Yeah. Same, really!

From around the river. So green!

Super-green. Almost magical!

This is the leftovers of the chicken when I threw a lamp-party after Christmas.

Feel eenlightened yet?
No, I know... Me either.

And I am still hungry!

A tree and some music

I took a picture when walking around the river with my dog, Cleo. I really like how the sunlight tainted it. I got little to nothing to blog about today. So have some music, thank you.

Early May Playlist:
Engines - Snow Patrol
Black and White Town - Doves
Maybe I Can Change - Keane
Racing Green - High Contrast

Must Hear Springtime Classic Playlist:
Millionaire - Kelis ft. Andre 3000
Standing Next to Me - Last Shadow Puppets
North West Three - Fatboy Slim
I'm Not Alone - Calvin Harris (give it a little time to warm up! Approx. 44 seconds).

Oh, and the poodle is settling in just fine, I think. Cleo is not exactly mothering it because the newcomer's a little pest and is stealing the spotlight.

Hair!

I cut me own hair! YArrrhH!! And so now I look fashionable. At least I like to think that I do. WhOo! Forgive the cheezy and light slow-shutter images, but I found the "before" picture in a random folder, and it was a good example of how miserable my hair looked - plus, it was easy to take a new similar picture of how it turned out. Blah-bladi-blah!

Happy new year!

This is another picture I took in Portugal, it is my sister in the corner there. I love this picture, the mood is fairytale-like.
In other news, happy new year! I don't have the time to write you another ridiculously strange post about nothing in particular, because I am writing a novel and my last will and testament. Not because I am expecting to die, but because if you are not prepared - how are you supposed to live? Enough about life and death, have some biscuits!

Tuesday and tea

Another picture from Lisbon!

Today it's the second day in December. There's a little snow outside, I have hot gold tea and a lecture on Java. I dreamt I had both my feet in a stainless steel bowl tucked tightly with woolen socks, then I hopped over to a shop, and in the exhibition window there was a squid in a dress, she was black and white with a big red dress. Coming to think of it the window was more like an aquarium.

My eyes are all dry and tired even though my day has only just started! It is a good day so far, though.

Feel free to pray for me

Tomorrow is my last written exam!

Wish me luck!

And, -- before you ask, -yes! That IS me dressed up as a Russian prostitute.

And no, it was in fact not for any special reason in particular. I believe we were just out for a walk and I wanted to stay warm.
Polka dots and fur is soo trendy.

EDIT: Also I'd really appreciate it if you could read this, and then tell me what you think? <3 (It's a good idea to read the first part first!)

Last Nights at Tryvann

There you go, we're done with all the Tryvann parties :( It was a blast last night - on Friday Ulrik and I were dressed up as barman and barmaid - it was supercool. It was all part of The Red Lion (their bus) having a pub & bar theme, right? So we had to get into the spirit of the place! It was funky anyway. Though last night we didn't dress up, we were just awesome to bits, and we danced and ate Laffy Taffy.

We then had an afterparty at Even's place. We made omelette and tranced and we jumped on the lawn and other crazy stuff, because that's just how fresh we are. Oh yeah.
So we went home at about noon today and now my feet hurt again, but not as much as before. Either way, t'was funky, there were flashing lights and I can swear i saw a female midget stripper on top of the bus "Scream '08" on Friday! She was topless even. Now that's something you don't get to see each day - eh?

I for one certainly hope not.

oh!

Look what I found. I was casually going through Glitter-graphics, and I found a picture of Liv-Elin. Goodness gracious me!

MAAAH

I am officially ill now, it hurts a bit. Like my legs. But I got to be strong though, to be fair we've only just started!

For those who don't know, I've been to Lillehammer this weekend as part of the russetid. There was this giant party, but it rained and it was muddy, which is why I'm a little reduced at the moment. On the brithg side, it was a blast, and I even took some pictures! You can see them here if you'd like.

//rave on. "Zomygawhd!" - quote, Skjalg.
I might fill you in laterz.
