Luxurious poverty

There is just so much that has to be safely acquired and stored within the four walls of our apartment right now.

There is "Alan Wake" and "Red Dead Redemption", we do have our precious toaster now - but what about all the films we need? We need "Avatar" for some safe get-away, there's both series and the special episode of "Green Wing", and I haven't actually BOUGHT Keane's "Night Train" either. So this'll be crazy! And I need a phone, because I am currently exploiting the kindness of my younger brother by borrowing his old one. And I should get some new summer shoes... And a shelf for the DVD's and a dresser in the hall, and snowboard goggles and boots for next season. That alone could shake you thin!

But then when I have all these things. Who needs money? :D I will be very busy, and very very happy for a very very long time. Exactly the way I am now.

Long time, no Seal!

Yeah, so sorry about that. I have totally been neglecting this blog for the last couple of days, which is terrible of me - I'm sure. Not necessarily because my little submissions were to be missed, but because it is dangerous for me to lose my blogging rythm. It makes me lazy and takes ages to retrieve.

I was at my second Justice concert last wednesday, it was quite good. The audience were certainly prepared recepticals for any sound the French duo were willing to blast out of their speakers. Personally I think the peak of the concert was when they quite brutally mashed "You're No Good for Me" by the Prodigy in to their beats. That was fabulous. Also I wore a sure deathtrap that easily entangled itself into any passing creature, so dancing was much like "avoiding", which is common in Norway, because it is so full of Swedes. Either way, every feminine particle in my body can be proud of me wearing a dress - because I'm not too good at that. And my wonderful, sparkling shoes reduced my feet to a pulpy sludge of blood and flesh.

Saturday we went to see everybody again at Eivind's place, and I had alcohol for the first time in several months*. It is so nice to catch up with everyone, and Elin is back from England and Ulrik back for a bit from the Army and you know - it was really nice. Also there were new people to meet and I had a rather dramatic misunderstanding up on the roof-terrace. All in all I had too much Urge and too much alcohol and then I walked Elin home and I was in bed about 5 in the morning.

Needless to say I had the hangover of centuries (again, so unfair I always get them. I think someone out there is secretly sending their pain to me, so I get double the trouble). But honestly, there is a reason why I'm not a hard drinker (usually!) because I just fall asleep, or if I manage to stay awake (which takes endless amounts of caffeine) I am so fragile the next day I almost have to take a few days off.

Speaking of which I am being such a good girl and working out, the problem is that I work out on Mondays and then my muscles are horribly sore until the following Friday. Seeing I am a lazy bastard and couldn't even consider working out during the weekend - I start off at Monday again. Even though I am paying for working out the entire month, I only get to do it once a week. Hopefully it will change though, and I'll become Superstrongmonsterwoman and I'll kick your sorry ass back to 1991! Which is a mean place to end up - you'll have to wear tights!

The weather is quite mild, I'm really eagerly anticipating December and the snow, even though November is going to be a tough one. Scored well on my Java hand-in, but have another one on Friday which is smaller but a lot harder, and I'm not very keen on spending a lot of time on it because it just doesn't feel rewarding! But I'm working on that, I really want to like it, it is just hard to do so.

This has turned into the longest post ever, and also one of the most pointless posts ever. Make whatever you wish of it, I'm publising it now. Oh, and I think I'm brewing up a cold, I'm sneezing into my tea!

*meaning alcohol in the common, vast quantities that the Scandinavian drinking culture requires.

New shoes!

They make me tall as a door. But they're delicious.

Paolo Nutini - New Shoes

I absolutely adore shoes, and this person happens to not be as bad either!

Well gogger

Google blogging is indeed very strange.
When testing some new layouts on my blog today, I clicked a button that returned the layout-editing to the same system as it used to be.
Then, out of nowhere something -i thought was long lost - reappeared!
My original blog-layout from just before christmas! It just randomly popped back and was all in order and everything, something I found very strange of course.

Do not get over-excited though, I am quite sure that I'm going to replace this layout with a new layout. I am such a fan of changes!

So, that strange blogging-experience is going to pass, personally I am not feeling any strange at all myself today, I'm just licking out the crumbs of an empty bag of Snack a' Jacks and listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Today I wore a big furry hat to school, it is a very nice hat, I must be careful so my sister does not take this hat and use it herself. She is coming home from her holiday today, so I have hidden everything I want to keep.
My bronze boots, my furry hat, the red coat, my purse and I must remember to rescue some underwear too.
She is like a machine, only less merciful.

Sister and Bones

My sister has travelled to Sharmel Sheikh and she said that she would bring me a camel.
Now that she is finally out of the house, I can use her shoooooeees and her cooaaat and her scaaaaarf and aaaaall of the stuff she left behind!
thankj0thankj0thankj0!

I also hope she has a good time in Sharmel Sheikh and brings a Charming Sheikh with her back home, I hardly do think that will happen, but if she puts on her "mask of sanity" (meaning make-up) perhaps there's a chance.(thank you Axel!).
And we could have a palace! That would've been excellent.

In Other news, this music video was actually directed by Tim Burton:

Copenhagen

I appreciate the concern Richard! But now I am here, and I am back and I have bought a new pair of shoes! Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the freshly aquired deliciously-licious shoes (which by the way is my shoe pair # 28), but I do have a lot of other pictures, just like I bought other things, besides shoes.

Bask in the danish-ness of my photos, lindsay - here's some flashing photos from Copenhagen:

Golden, lit tree.

My shoes!

They are found!
I'm thrilled, simply filled to the brim with happiness, my dear shoes. They are found!
I'm about to get religious I think, I'm very very happy about this. and some God is about to get an eager servant :) shoesy-shoes, they are back!

Filling in the gaps here:
- shoes forgotten on a train one night (15th of February excactly)
- Long waiting on random lost-and-found phone-lines, all playing LOtR music *scratch festering rash*
- ten well-written e-mails and nights of concern later, some lady picks up the phone!

The plan:
- go downtown
- collect shoes
- put shoes on
- dance on bus station
- break ankle
- get a free ride home with an ambulance
- break off the high heels
- buy new shoes without heels
- dance on bus station
- be very very happy
- become religious
- go to the loo
- eat dinner
